Fabianista Folly

The Fabian Society – a far-left ‘think’ tank – have published a report out today in an attempt to resuscitate the hated Inheritance Tax or, as we know it,  the Death Tax.  What is more interesting is the report attempts to initiate a campaign for an anti-taxpayers alliance.  Yes, that’s right.  They want to spur on a campaign for more and higher taxes.

These socialist dinosaurs believe that we –you, me and other taxpayers – should be allowed only £80,000 of untaxed assets throughout our entire lifetimes.  Anything above, they insist, should and must be taxed.  Who the hell are they to say how much we are entitled to before the government can confiscate our earnings and inheritance?  As you’ll see, however, the supporters of this plan to increase taxes are the truest disciples of the “one law for me, one for them” school.

Hypocrite_wallpaper The signatories to this report, and an accompanying letter in the Guardian, include one Fiona MacTaggart MP.  The Express reveals this morning that she is a multi-millionaire who inherited her wealth from her father, a property developer.  Well there’s an irony for you.  It’s always those who can afford to pay higher taxes are in favour of them.  It’s as if they expect their hypocrisy to be drowned out by the sound of the ladder being pulled up behind them.

Tthese are the forces against us.  Still fervent in their belief that government knows best, they will continue to find ways to increase the government’s take of your money.  They won’t give up ‘til they’re beaten in the ballots, ‘til the country has turned against their programme for high taxes.  So it’s probably best for us to let Ms MacTaggart know what sort of a hypocrite she is and how strongly the British people stand against the death tax.

Please contact her through the email given on her website or through the parliament website.  Either way, I think it’s high time we tell these Trots just how wrong they are.

I'm sure these people already know how people feel about this. It probably won't make any difference what we say to them, they are thick skinned and they are in change and of course know what's best. How safe is Ms MacTaggart's seat? Threatening their jobs is the only way to get to these people.
BTW, why isn't TPA campainging for a pay cut for MPs, now that they have handed over so much of their responsibilities to the EU. Surely if they do less work for us, they should be paid less!

Ms Mactaggart is living in her own delluded world. What she's advocvating is nothing more than economic slavey where you work for your economic masters and hopefully bent kneed and hand held forward in a clasped manner they might just give you something in return. I doubt very much if they'll give you anything back, certainly nothing meaningful.

Yes people such as Mactaggart have the audacity to stake a claim to your wealth and sacrifice. "Hands OFF, it doesn't belong to you, I've never met you, I don't know you, I don't even like you. This money isn't for my family's future it is their future"....

What difference is there between a gang planning a bank robbery/heist and a government taking your money, very little I'd think....

I know not who you are, but am sick to death of the Scots telling the rest of us what should and should not happen. Many of you are blatantly anti English, despite most of you living in England. If you consider that racist- tough. I was brought up in Scotland so know just how racist many Scots are towards the English. Frankly I could care less any more what people think of me, but do care about my decreasing rights and I do care about being ruled by a Scottish government which has wasted my taxes and virtually ruined my country- Great Britain and England.

What has this to do with your proclamations about inheritance ? the Scots have a chip on their shoulders about the lairds and their estates and I suspect this is at the root of your objections. How dare you tell me to whom my estate should go? The balance will go to charities rather than to a government which would fritter it away on useless causes such as foreign countries and greedy members of parliament. Government has done nothing to save my money, in fact it penalises me daily while it props up the idle, the illegal and useless politicians. It should also not charge stamp duty because it has done nothing to increase the value of my home or any I buy.

You are ridiculously hypocritical and I hope you don't succeed in your pursuit of the rest of us while you live a life of luxury on what you inherited from your father and what you get from we the taxpayers. UK government, don't make me laugh- there is no such thing so consider this; you and your ilk are getting paid under false pretences. HANDS OFF MY MONEY

Forgive the following, as I am not a doctor, but the best way to treat trots is to flush them.
